Christmas, The First of Three

by Robert Hedrick

Time has recorded many special days into history,
While some of these have effected all of humanity.
Many bringing tears of sorrow, others tears of joy,
One recording the birth of a very special Baby Boy.

It is celebrated around the world, from sea to sea,
Not just one special day in this life, there are three.
On the first one He came, being in the form of man,
Born of a virgin, conceived by God's spiritual plan.

On the second day He died for sin man has committed,
For all people, unto death, He willingly submitted.
On the third He arose for death had been defeated,
Descending to heaven as His work here was completed.

Today He intercedes for those trusting in His name,
Informing The Father He has removed their sin stain.
Christmas day's very special, yet we are given three,
That tells of just how much Jesus loves you and me.
