Be An Example

Christians, let the Holy Spirit live through you
That the world may see Jesus Christ in all you do
Your walk in life should be as a witness for God
In everything you do and every path you trod

Your old life died when you accepted Christ
Your new life should be an example to entice
When you continue to live in all your old ways
You're not honoring God or giving Him praise

You're confusing nonbelievers with wayward actions
They don't understand the Christian's attraction
So express the traits of your Savior above
His concern, generosity, compassion, and love

You will then draw others to sit at the foot of the cross
Accepting the Savior who paid all of our cost
They will see Christ's love through the life you live
And accept His gift of salvation He so freely gives!
