Up! Up! And Away!

I would like to be on earth
When the rapture takes place.
I know I would really have
A huge smile upon my face.

When the dead in Christ rise,
They can go first; I won't mind,
For I will catch up with them.
I will not be very far behind.

O how very happy I will be
To meet my Savior in the air!
I will follow Him to Glory.
I will be with Him up there.

Alas! How very sad to think now
Of all the lost people left here.
They will have tribulation.
Let's witness to them so dear.

When Jesus comes in the air,
Then I'll go up, up, and away!
I am looking for His appearing.
Yes, it could just be any day!

Everyday, I will look way up,
Yes, up toward that eastern sky.
I'll listen for that trumpet sound.
Hallelujah! His coming draweth nigh!
