Cleansing The Temple

by Margaret Cagle

Jesus went into the temple
And drove the money changers out.
He overthrew their money tables,
And the money scattered all about.

Jesus was cleansing the temple
Of corruption that was there.
They had made it a den of thieves
Instead of a house of prayer.

Christian, how about your temple?
Do you let corruption enter in?
The Bible says our body is a temple,
For the Holy Spirit dwells within.

Let us keep our temple clean.
There dwells the Spirit of God.
If we let corruption have control,
We can face the chastening rod.
