My Prayer Of Thanksgiving

by Margaret Cagle

I come before You, precious Lord,
With a grateful, contrite heart.
Inside me dwells Your Holy Spirit,
And he will never, never depart.

Thank You for all Your benefits.
Lord, You supply my every need.
You sent Your Son to die for me.
From the chains of sin, I'm freed.

Thank You for my family and friends.
To me they are all so very dear.
They show their heartfelt love for me.
They bring me much joy and cheer.

Thank You for my church, dear Lord,
And for the privilege to serve You,
And thank You for my dear pastor.
For You, Lord, he stands so true.

Thank You for Your goodness, Lord.
You give benefits beyond my need.
You supply even desires of the heart.
You are the almighty God, indeed!
