The Call of the Wild; The Call of the Spirit

The call of the wild
beckoning - "come."
"The air is so free,
With nature be one."

It bids and it begs
"See what can be."
The call of the wild,
Beckoning me.

The call of the wild
It sweetly flaunts
See what your missing
It tempts and taunts.

The call of the wild
Beckoning - "come."
It pounds and it thumps
Like the beat of a drum.

Come taste and come see
Just a nibble, a snack
It baits and it tries
To hook for attack.

The call of the wild
It promises life
It promises relief
Freedom from strife.

The call of the wild
The scent in the air
Do I answer the bid
Is it a trap or a snare?

The call of the wild
It did draw me in
But I soon found
Pain binds you with sin.

The call of the wild
It deceived and it lied
The chains and the fetters
Restricted confined.

The call of the Spirit
Beckons- but waits
For me to decide
My eternal fate.

The call of the Spirit
Beckoned me, "Come,
This is unlike what
The wild becomes."

The call of the Spirit
No temptation or jeer
It whispers such love
It casts out all fear.

It calls and it lingers
To offer great joys
Without consequence
Like the wild employs.

The call of the Spirit
Instills inside peace.
The call of the Savior,
Will my wild release?

The call of the Spirit
So simple so free
The call of the one
The wild won't be.

I answered the call
That leaves a heart pure
The call of the Savior
And eternity secure.

The call of the wild....
Beckoning me;
The call of the Spirit
Glorious victory!
