Vices Come With Prices

by Margaret Cagle

Before a person gets saved,
He may be a cigarette smoker.
He may drink liquor or beer.
He may gamble, playing poker.

When becoming a Christian,
One repents of every sin,
And over many bad addictions,
God can help one to win.

Many Christians will repent,
Putting those sins away,
But temptations come along,
And they slip and fall one day.

For a Christian, it is right
To get rid of all these vices,
For backsliding into sin
Can come with very high prices.

Every Christian may have a sin
That very easily besets him,
But when temptations come,
We must not yield to them.

You are a child of God now.
You need to please Him too,
So please your Heavenly Father,
And He will greatly bless you.
