You, You, You, and You

by Kathleen Higham

That one is surely going to hell!
I have heard a brother say
It left me simply speechless
When one could speak that way.

How can we ever really know?
What is buried deep in a heart?
Only the Father can truly see
For He holds the missing part.

Oh, it is with relentless fervor
They quote furiously the Word
There is no question in their mind
It seems considerably absurd.

That one is surely going to hell!
Yet I see no sorrow or grief
They take you to the very page
Then point the finger of belief.

But I stumble here, wonder
What then is God for?
And why did He have to die?
If a sinner can close the door?

I long to ask the question
About that one going to hell
What if God and that one spoke?
But God decided not to tell.

Could there be a relationship?
Between that one and God?
Private whispered words of love
Surely one must not find this odd.

Some cannot, will not waiver
No matter what the cost
But God holds the missing part
Of the one thought to be lost.

You, you, you, and you
I am planning to see you there
So don't forget to bring along
That part you couldn't share.

Because, you cried out His Name
And He heard the sinner's call
For you, you, and yes, that one too
Christ died for one and for all.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
