Christ Uplifted

When Christ is uplifted, He draws all to Himself.
Whether words or by actions, His power is dealt
To ennoble the mind to embrace Heaven’s help,
Which will gain a victorious, conquering wealth.

Not a wealth of the worldly, but many souls saved
Through the merits of Christ that we plead for each case
Of the lost one or loved one in need of rich grace
To be poured out like Christ on the cross in our place.

So be eager to pray and most earnest to seek
For each opportune time to speak Christ through the week.
If you’re weak or inflicted, Christ’s strength will not sleep,
But will rise to uplift Christ and set captives free.
