The Morning Star

Is it a burning ray of light
Is it there to tend to me
And carry me through the night
You often speak about the stars
And like them we will be
But never could we count them
Yet they are wonderful to me
No matter when or where I gaze
If the night is still and clear
Twinkling stars will dazzle me
And I'll feel your presence near
For there are a million roads to hell
But only one road leads to you
Will the morning star rise in my heart
As Your glorious light shines through
You promised this vision many times
And Your word is always true
So teach me of the morning star
Help me put my sight on You
For I want to hold on to the word of life
Let me shine like the stars above
Then will You give me the morning star
So my heart will be glowing with love
Someday I'll know the morning star
Your brilliance will make me complete
As I am filled with the light of the Son
In that moment heart to heart we will meet
