The Little Apostrophe

by Margaret Cagle

Some people use apostrophes
Where they aren't supposed to go.
Did they learn to write correctly?
It really does not seem so.

Use the apostrophe with an "s"
To show ownership, you see.
Though it is just a little mark,
It is important as it can be.

When we say, "I am God's child,"
We use that little apostrophe.
It shows that we are owned by God
Through salvation, full and free.

We can use the apostrophe there
Because our Savior paid it all.
One can truly be God's child,
If upon Christ Jesus, he will call.

I personally know how important
The little apostrophe can be.
I got saved and became God's child.
I'm using the little apostrophe.
