My Favorite Book

Many friends that I hold dear
Have favorite candy bars.
Many special friends I know
Have favorite makes of cars.

I have a special, favorite book.
It is the world's best seller.
It's not about our Presidents,
Nor Aristotle, or Helen Keller.

It is a book of many books,
Sixty-six books, to be exact,
Written by God-inspired authors
Over hundreds of years, in fact.

This book is not just any book.
It is the divine holy Word of God.
It is truly God's words for us
As we all travel upon this sod.

When the Lord made all mankind,
He planned a guide book too
To go along with our lives
To instruct us just what to do.

I love God's Word, the Bible.
I read it through every year.
God has magnified His holy Word.
It is my favorite book so dear.
