The Price Of Peace

by Margaret Cagle

Nations long for world peace
And for war and strife to cease,
But in a world that seems insane,
Unrighteousness seems to reign.

When world peace does not prevail,
In each heart, it can be well.
God can work in a person's heart
To make sin and confusion depart.

There comes deep peace to all
If on the Savior they will call.
As the minutes and hours roll,
I have deep peace in my soul.

When I lie down to sleep at night,
I know with God my heart is right.
I know my sins are all forgiven,
And I am on my way to Heaven.

This peace comes with a price.
It was paid by Christ's sacrifice.
He paid the price at Calvary
For salvation for you and me.
