Jesus Is Alive

The teacher asked the class one day.
One child answered, "The Pope."
"Jesus is greatest," One did say.
"Johnny, I said 'living person',"
Harshly corrected the teacher.
"But, Teacher, Jesus is alive!
I heard this from my preacher."
I heartily agree with Johnny.
His answer was right and true.
Jesus liveth, and He intercedes
In prayers prayed by me and you.
Jesus died on the cross for us,
Was buried and arose from the dead.
One day He is coming back again,
Just like the Word of God said.
