Forgive Me

by Mandellah Josiah

Your 'hush' like shadows lurking by
To scare a stumbled heart
Your 'absence' like a boulder tossed
To crush my being apart
The wretch I've made myself to be
A wretch I long have been
Dear God I face thy throne of grace
With Jesus inbetween
My loathsome deeds have shamed Your name
In many ways than one
Fogetting how in ages past
This war I wage was won
I glare at days I rent my cloak
And wept against this post
I ne'er had known that penitent hearts
Were all that mattered most
"Unending freedom not from sin
But from its aftermath"
It's a wish that's made by fellows
Who refuse to walk the path
But here I am with outstretched arms
Upon two bended knees
That I'd be set free from the first
Forgive a fool like me
Purge me of folly;hear my cry
Should a heart as mine derail?
Yet by Your mercy Lord I ask
Let Love,not wrath prevail
There is an aphorism i know
One said to be so true
That God still pardons fools
And yes,He pardons big ones too
