Curled in a ball in bed
Blanket tucked around my head
After bedtime prayers are said
Covered
Flakes determined in their task
All the earth in white to mask
Kids for hats and mits do ask
Covered
Breakfast table lined with breads
Chocolate, fruity, nutty spreads
Cheez Whiz chosen in their stead
Covered
Unexpected circumstance
Late for work, employer rants
Offering a second chance
Covered
Guilt stain on my heart and hand
Subject to the law's demand
Jesus offers perfect plan
Covered
Grace and peace and mercy flows
Faith, love, hope in Jesus grows
Open now the eyes once closed
Covered
Sting of death and fear of grave
Jesus came to seek and save
Christ in me has made me brave
Covered
When I lay my head to rest
One with the eternal blessed
Close my grave I've passed the test
