Got is the attitude of haste
A sure foundation of needless waste
I've got to have it yesterday
It's something new, I'll gladly pay
Whether I have the cash or not
My plastic card will stem the rot
And I'll be in a heavenly mood
Because, to me, it's just like food
That feeds the boredom in my soul
And fills my hungry God-shaped hole
But only lasts a little time. Before that mountain I must climb
If only I would ask The One
Who satisfies through His dear Son.
Then I would surely lose the taste
For all my piles of needless waste.
