Direct My Steps, O Lord

O Lord, please guide me step by step.
Please lead me each and every day.
I need Your divine guidance in my life.
I want to please you, Lord, in every way.

When I leave You out of my plans,
I tend to stumble and tend to fall,
So precious Lord, please take my hand,
For upon You, Lord, I humbly call.

I acknowledge You in all my ways,
For I know Your will is always best.
In Your Word, You said You'd lead me,
So upon this promise, I will rest.

When my work down here is over,
And on this earth, I will trod no more,
Then direct my steps, and lead me
To Heaven's beautiful golden shore.
