A wanderer seeks the anointed way,
He is aware of the price that he must pay.
He is born again and Spirit filled,
Washed in the blood of the Lamb once killed.
Though his strength is iron his will is clay,
A pillar of granite but easy to stray.
On the call of his Shepherd he must rely,
Or be lured by the ravenous wolves hungry cry.
Through dark valley and chasm he is destined to go,
Into rivers of fire, and blizzards of snow.
Exhaustion and scorn are his only friends,
To the will of his God he faithfully attends.
Through physical perils his spirit stands firm,
He knows this world is a barrier for but a short term.
He must follow the light, he must overcome,
He must dance to the beat of the Heavenly drums.
To enter the narrow gate takes effort and sweat,
And though many are trying they are not there yet.
But the wanderer knows he must battle to enter,
He will pass through with scars and armor that's dented.
So the warrior fights and wanders the world,
His roof is the sky, his Bible his pearl.
The work of his Lord he will do to the death,
Spread the Gospel of truth to his dying breath.
AUTHORS NOTE:
Attaining salvation is easy, but hold on to it for dear life. It is so easy to be led astray by the deceptive powers of the enemy. As when a sheep goes astray, and leaves the watchful eye of the Shepherd, he becomes food for the ravenous wolves that roam the Earth. We must fight our spiritual enemy on spiritual terms, sticking to the rules given to us by God and never leave his protective cover to try and deal with things by ourselves, in the flesh.
