A heart of the purest gold,
Tender for others and for Thee;
Such a heart, dear God —
Would You create it in me?

A heart free of cobwebs,
A heart that's crystal pure,
Such a heart, God my Father;
I'd like to have one, for sure!

A heart full of Your Light,
It is my most ardent desire…
A good and honest heart;
Faithful and for You on fire.

Above all else, God, I long for
A big heart, ready to share;
A heart full of compassion —
Thankful for your loving care.

The heart that I dream of
Dear God, it's really true —
