His Hands

God's hands are attached to the arms of a Man
These everlasting arms keep us secure
His fingers that hold us through our life's span
A beautiful place so steadfast and sure.

Hands that carved planets and stars throughout space
Forming each flower and painting each bird
Craft of divinity, fashioned by Grace
With hands of such skill, and power of His Word.

Hands that were pinioned by man to a Cross
Wounded and bleeding, His suffering for all
Exchanged our irreconcilable loss
The clasp of His hands, the power of His call.

The sound of His voice, the touch of His hands
And drawing us gently, into His heart
Tighter His arms, and held by love's bands
United with Him, and never to part.
