I Smile

She sings a song and dances, on her bedroom floor.
She's proud to say she's doing this for she never did it before.... She's growing that's for sure!

AA rooms are wonderful,
She is learning how to share.
It's a place where she's accepted,
A place where others care.
She's the new me for sure!

I smile.

She starts her morning off,
With three prayers to her Lord.
She does what she's expected,
Plus a little bit more.

I smile.

She's learned to help others ,
For she too has been loved.
It's her goal to make others feel ,
The goodness of HIS love.

I smile.

It's time that she will celebrate,
Two years of growth and more.
Sober for the first time,
Due to her God, she adores.
She gives the glory to her God,
And dances on her floor.
