O Lord, your hands are like no other
Hands that were pierced to bear your weight
Those hammered nails your body holding
First by Love, then by people's hate.
Hands that touched children, men and women
With healing fingers. Your's was Love
Discerning our hearts' grief and longings
Unerring target from the Dove.
Hands raised in worship to Your Father
Who ever held You in His eye
As You would journey through the desert
With hands that met both earth and sky.
These hands that now would hold us tightly
Once trailed with blood upon the ground
That trail we follow now with wonder
The path of Grace our hearts astound.
Hands now outstretched in heavenly blessing
To garner in Your own, and see
Fruit of Your loving plan and purpose
Designed from all eternity.
