I am Free

by C kara © 2002

Do you feel what I feel?
Do you see what I see?
Does my shattered heart prevent me from being who you created me to be?
Do you feel my pain? This unspeakable pain?
Being disposed of and not mentioned by name?
So easily thrown out, Invisible am I.
Worthless garbage whispers this lie.
It takes all that I am to hold back the tears.
To walk in faith and not give in to my fears.
Father! I cry out, this loneliness I can not bare!
These feelings of worthlessness at my heart do they tear.
Help me! I whisper in utter despair.
Can you hear my voice? Do you feel my pain?
Do you know who I am? Do you know me by name?
Yes, your voice whispers, I know you by name.
Your walls are before me and so is your pain.
I will never forsake you or throw you away.
A very high price for you did I pay.
This road of obedience is the hardest of all.
One in which you, I did call.
When they curse you, reject you and throw you away,
Is when you will rise up and do it my way.
You will bless them and love them no matter how hard it may be.
For they do nothing to you, they have not done to me.
And your name child, I will never forget!
It is engraved in my palms, in my blood it is set.
You are mine forever, my grace I give to thee.
Walk on my sweet child In my love you are free.
