Christ is my confidence

Christ is My Confidence
In Christ my Saviour
My confidence is found
He is my light and anchor
In His Providence my peace abound
In Christ my Saviour
I have found favour
He is my strength and power
His name alone a strong tower
Jesus Christ my Fortress
No more stress or distress
With Him alone I can cope
He is my living hope
When I am dismayed
My trust on Him is stayed
His faithfulness is my confidence
His righteousness is my assurance
I will pray and fast
To hold my confidence steadfast
Trust and obey His commandments
Even in the face of bombardments
Some trust in chariots
Some trust in horses
But my confidence is of the Lord of hosts
Through the power of the Holy Ghost
