Lottery

If you did a lottery
That didn't have a prize
Would you keep on doing it
Or hasten its demise
If you did a job of work
That didn't pay a wage
Would you keep on doing it
Or stomp off in a rage.

Do we serve The Lord our God
For what He can supply
Thinking that He'll bless us
If His name we gladly cry
Are we disillusioned
When our prayers don't work out right
Or worship Him for who He is
The One who holds us tight.
