Being Saved

by Emily Canfield © 2024

When I get to Heaven
And I'm met at the door
I expect to be confused
By the people on the floor
For I won't see the people
Who always said they'd be
Who are perfect unlike me
Instead I'll see the cheaters
The addicts and the guilty
Jesus didn't come here
For perfect people either
He came to help the sinners
The liars, not the winners
My Jesus came to save us
An imperfect breed
He came to help you
He came to help me
All he wants is trust
Some faith along the way
To know that you will lean on him
To get you through the day
Jesus means salvation
What it really means to win
Are you prepared to take his offer,
And spend eternity with him?
