CONSIDER GOD'S WONDER

by David Mitchell

Consider the brilliance of a billion stars,
bright shining twinkling from afar.
This infinite expanse of celestial wonder
is God's spoken word, no force to asunder.

Consider the perfection of a rose.
Fluffed velvet pedals striking a pose.
Alluring fragrance entreat to behold,
can prick a heart as pedals unfold.

Consider a newborn, first breath beheld.
God's greatest story in his image to tell.
Of all His most beloved creations,
redeemed sinners are God's elation.

Consider the greatest act of love.
Our soul atoned by the Son above.
Nail to the cross our sins he bared,
God's only son he did not spare.

Consider God's gift in us bestowed,
this seed of love in us he sowed.
A sprout to bloom in others to save,
to lift their hopes in holy praise.

Consider an addict's desperation,
one fix away from desolation.
Families broken; tears torn apart.
Prayers answered, hopeful new start.

Consider in all God's infinite wonder,
why he made us, to this I ponder.
He chose to love, despite our nature.
And ransomed our hearts with a Savior.

Consider God's Wonder….JESUS
