Take Shelter

Often in the spring
the weather turns a fright.
The winds begin a howl
and clouds roll in at night.

The rain begins to pour
the thunder shakes my house!
The lightning flashes more!
The grass, a heavy douse.

I had the sense of change
before it all began.
A change in air, a "feel"
that altered my day's plan.

Now listen very close,
for God, His word has spoke
that change is coming soon
- to shelter run! No joke!

I've had this sense of change
as this age comes to end.
Though others think it strange,
God's wrath around the bend.

We know that wrath comes quickly,
no time to shelter then.
Make plans to shelter now
before wrath comes, amen!

The only shelter now,
the Son of God, discover.
Take cover in the one,
our living Eternal Shelter!

A house may be shelter against a thunder storm, a storm shelter for tornados,
a bomb shelter for bombs, leave the area for hurricanes or tsunamis or volcanoes,
an ark for the flood, blood on door for angel of dead,
God's Son is the only shelter for cover to avoid the wrath of God on sin.
Be wise. Plan now.
