Awaken to the Morning Sun

Awaken to the morning sun
with gladness in your heart
and thank the Lord for brand new days
before each day does start.
O, praise Him with the rising sun
and when each day is done.
Come thank Him for His wondrous works—
our God, Most Holy One.
Rise up and lift your voice to Him—
shout out with joyfulness.
Dance and sing with carefree hearts
and share your happiness.
Allow the love of God to shine
within your heart and soul.
Have faith and bask in perfect peace—
ask God to make you whole.
Come trust in Him with all your heart—
He'll tend to all your needs
and calm the raging storms you face
the storms sent to impede.
