Dear LORD,
There're battles around us
we don't ever see,
from a world that's unknown
and won't let us be.
They've made us all weary
and led some astray.
This fighting continues
with each passing day.
These battles have misled
and bound many souls—
take back from the darkness
those souls that it stole.
And dress us in armors—
prepare everyone
to stand against evil
'til battles are won.
We ask for Your help, LORD—
please come to our aid.
Temptation is widespread
and we are afraid. . .
Our fears have run rampant—
our boldness has gone.
Our strength has diminished—
our courage—withdrawn.
Direct us from evil—
away from death's door—
and give us provisions
for conflict—for war.
O' let us not tremble—
nor stumble or fall.
Protect us—Your children—
look after us all.
Replenish each spirit—
renew every soul—
and grant us Your blessings
as each day unfolds.
Please give us Your strength, LORD,
to fight the unknown—
the powers of darkness
and seeds it has sown.
AND. . .
Each day we're in battle
please be by our sides.
Direct us from evil—
don't let us backslide.
