A Prayer for Help

Help me to serve you and walk in your way,
Help me to trust you with every new day,
Help me to be in your hand as mere clay.
Help me be more than a Christian cliché.

Help me to stand on your word and not stray,
Help me to faithfully read and obey,
Help me to humble myself when I pray,
Help me bring order to earth's disarray.

Help me be faithful throughout my workday,
Help me to witness and know what to say,
Help me your message to clearly convey,
Help me your character truly display,

Help me be fervent to fight off decay,
Help me be wise and to not become prey,
Help me to rise above earth's pointless fray,
Help me avoid all the games that they play.

Help me be honest, my yea to be yea,
Help me be brave and not yield to dismay
Help me be grateful as life I survey,
Help me with mercy and grace for each day.
