Refined by Fire: Faith in Adversity

by Bose V © 2024

In the furnace of life, where shadows may creep,
Stand tall like Abijah, who refused to weep.
A king who knew well the weight of his crown,
He faced the great trials, yet would not back down.

Like Jephthah, who battled with faith on his side,
Though cast out and shunned, he refused to hide.
With courage unwavering, he answered the call,
His heart full of promise, he'd rise after the fall.

Remember Hagar, lost in the wild,
A mother in despair, yet God called her child.
In the desert of doubt, she found strength to cope,
For in her darkest moment, she discovered hope.

Naomi returned with her heart heavy and worn,
From loss and from grief, a new path was born.
Through trials of sorrow, she found joy again,
In the arms of her daughter, a love without end.

When the storms of this life toss us to and fro,
Let us look to their stories, and let our faith grow.
For trials refine us, like gold in the flame,
With each test we face, we can rise in His name.

So lean on His promise, and trust in His way,
Like these faithful hearts, we too can display
The strength in our struggles, the light in our plight,
For God walks beside us, our beacon of light.
