Resting Secure

in a world of many turmoils
where grief comes in waves of pain,
I search amongst my ruins
for a shelter from the rain...

now tired of the struggle
caused by my resistance to God's grace,
I turn to the refuge of His hope
resting in the peace of love's embrace.

being still in His presence
learning to wait upon His strength,
secure, my feet on solid rock
salvation goes to any length.

Psalm 62:5-6 Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
