In His Loving Image

Creator God, from nothing makes
The universe expand.
In smaller ways we too create
Like God has always planned.

The scriptures tell us God is love,
He loves us all it's true.
God made us in His image so
We can be loving too.

How can we love creatively?
Bring out the best in friends.
Enjoying others makes them feel
How much our love extends.

And helping others meet their needs,
Their burdens we can share,
Reveals to others God's dear love,
So they can know He's there.

Forgiving is a loving way
For us to reconcile.
The pain we're willing to absorb,
Reveals God's loving style.

So, that's why God made us this way,
To love like Him above.
He made us in His image so
That we could show His love.
