Still Small Voice

by Pearl Leona Sturgis

There's a still small voice
whispering in my ear today.
Will my heart rejoice
if I travel on this way?

Yes, it's still my choice.
I choose what I want to be.
For the still small voice
leaves it up to me.

There's a scripture text
written in my heart today.
Will my heart confess?
Will I stop to pray?

Yes, it's still my choice.
I choose what I want to be.
For the still small voice
leaves it up to me.

There's a narrow path...
where no ill wind blows.
I will not turn back
where temptation glows.

yes, it's still my choice.
I choose what I want to be...
for the still small voice
leaves it up to me.
