Let Them See the Joy

Come sit beside me, Lord,
right here next to me
come a little closer
so together we will be.

Come and take my hand,
and together we will pray
for I can't make it through today
any other way.

Come and touch my shoulder,
tell me You understand
and when I walk forward
help me to rise and stand.

Come and give me the words
that will comfort everyone
words that will bring glory
To You, His loving Son.

Come and give Your assurance
that my father's with You now
come and give Your promise
they too can embrace this vow.

Let them see the joy,
not the sadness of my loss
let them see the peace
and my faith in the Cross.

Let them hear the words,
that salvation only brings
come and let Your Spirit rest
on hearts, where death stings.

Walk with me down the aisle,
lead me back to my seat
come and be the strength
beneath my legs and my feet.
