Searching

The ocean is wide.
The water is deep.
Faintly they cry ...
with no tears they weep.

Searching for something
you've already found,
Yet you say nothing
while watching them drown?

Once you were there
in the deep well of sin.
Someone who cared
saw you dying within,

searching for Jesus,
unknowingly though
with chilled heart that freezes
through satan's false glow.

God's Precious Word ...
sent from Heaven above
took you aboard ...
on the ship of His love.

Ride o'er the waves
on this ocean of sin.
Don't be afraid ...
to go searching for them.

Tell them this ocean
leads right to hell's door.
Stormy emotions
pursue satan's roar!

Helplessly crying
for rescue they plead,
hopelessly trying
in oceans of greed.

Tell them our Lord
gave His Life on the Cross.
Tell them His Word ...
that His Blood paid the cost.
