Fret Not

Do not fret,
it will rob your faith from you
do not let it in your heart
nor be a force in what you do.

Do not fret,
it only causes one to doubt
trust always in the Lord
and leave all your worry out.

Do not fret,
it will only make you fear
delight instead in the Lord
and He will draw you near.

Do not fret,
it makes the soul grow ill
commit your way to the Lord
and let Him show you His will.

Do not fret,
it will steal away your peace
rest assured with the Lord
and His calm will never cease.

Do not fret,
it will only cause you harm
let it have no place in your heart
fret not, and do not be alarmed.
