Sting of Providence (part 2)

Now surgery's over
and I must admit...
I really was scared
on the front side of it.
I climbed on the stretcher
in spite of my fright...
while praying to God
with all of my might.

All of a sudden
I fell fast asleep...
with my body at rest
from my head to my feet.
Who would have thought?...
In the blink of an eye...
Believe it or not
but two hours went by.

My head was still groggy
but I knew right then...
Surgery's over...
and healing begins.
I just couldn't wait
to answer my phone
and tell all my loved ones
the cancer is gone.

So if you are one
needing surgery too ...
Please don't be afraid
when this happens to you.
For dawn follows darkness
and sun follows rain.
Healing, in time,
will soon follow the pain.
