Ressurrection Day

by Albert Watson

He's gone there is an empty tomb
Rejoice my friends, lets lift the gloom
He said, "I am the life, the truth, the way.
Confirms to us 'Resurrection day'

The stone it had been rolled aside
They looked but found no one inside.
Strips of linen a head cloth there lay
"Rejoice with me Resurrection day"

This man assumed Mary is the gardener.
'The body of Jesus, I ask you kind sir,
Where have you put it; where does He lay?'
He replied 'Mary', 'Resurrection day'

Two walked to Emmaus-a stranger they met:
'Why are you downcast why do you fret?'
Showed from the scripture, for meal he did pray:
There eyes became open 'Resurrection day'.

Each of these stories makes it quite plain,
Christ Jesus who died has risen again.
He is the first fruits the scriptures say
Followed by our, 'Resurrection Day'.
