A Joy Jump

by Deborah Ann Belka © 2016

Some Christians,
seem to be grumpy
fussy and sulky
and a little bit crabby.

They seldom smile,
or say something nice
it's as if their hope . . .
has turned dry as ice.

Some Christians,
seem to be uptight
I can hardly see
a flicker of light.

They barely laugh,
seldom do they grin
it's as if their peace . . .
took one on the chin.

Oh, Lord if You see,
me being a grump
give my heart . . .
an eternal joy jump!

Romans 15:13

"Now the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing,
that ye may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Ghost.""
