Beware!

There is a battle brewing,
it is attacking every mind
it is assaulting every Christian
with weapons of every kind.

We are in a for a real fight,
we need to be clear-headed
we must fix our minds on Jesus
so not to fear the truly dreaded.

Our adversary is like a lion,
and he is looking to devour
all of God's faithful saints
in this, his final ferocious hour.

He is roaming all-around,
he is hungry and he is fierce
he is a greedy pursuer
looking for souls, he can pierce.

He is filling our minds with lies,
for he is the grand accuser
he is aiming at our tender hearts
for he is the great seducer.

He is malicious in his pursuit,
he stalks us night and day
he is restless in his chase
he lets nothing get in his way.

This greedy pursuer . . . is Satan,
and to him we must be aware
we must be vigilant and sober
so, beware ~ my friend ~ beware!

1 Peter 5:8 ~ KJV

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour:"
