In The Courtroom of Heaven

by Deborah Ann Belka
https://poetrybydeborahann.wordpress.com

In the courtroom of the holy heaven,
from God's wrath I will be spared
for Jesus came to my defense
and my life He justifiably declared.

By my faith in Him I was granted,
justification for all my ungodly acts
for if I were to be judged by God
the law would damn me with it's facts.

But, God knew I was always imperfect,
and from sin I would never be free
that in my fight with flesh I would lose
so He sent His only Son to die for me.

My Savior absolved me from my guilt,
with His righteousness I was credited
now I don't have to pay for my sins
and to Him I will always be indebted.

The reality of the gift of justification,
uprooted my eternal despair and misery
for it is through the blood of Jesus
that I can claim my everlasting victory!

In the courtroom of the holy heaven,
from God's wrath you can be spared
if you let Jesus come into your heart
your life too, can be justifiably declared!

Romans 4:25

"Who was delivered for our offences, and
was raised again for our justification."
