Faith

Inside an acorn a mighty oak tree
Lord, Your wonders abound
A beautiful flower resides in a seed
Asleep in the cold, hard ground
Inside the cocoon waits the butterfly
Freed miraculously
And your greatest wonder is hid from my eye
Your Spirit resides in me

We look at the acorn and can't see the tree
Yet we believe it is there
Into the ground we place one small seed
Expecting its blooms so fair
We can't see the wings in that crusty brown wrapper
Yet wait for the butterfly
I can't see Your Spirit, but still I'm so happy
I feel your love inside

Lord, be my beauty, shine forth in me
For not seeing we still believe
In your Holy Spirit, though we cannot see
The power that we receive
In that wondrous moment as we bend our knee
And bow to confess our sin
Yes, we believe though we cannot see
YOUR SPIRIT DWELLS WITHIN
