Remember

by Jeff Bidiman

The icy fingers of a fallen world
Constantly seek to dim your flame
And when they keep the winds of hatred swirled,
Find hope in the reason Jesus came.
Remember how Christ gave His life for you,
Then feel that great love burn deeply within.
Remember why He came to our rescue
And how He died while we were still in sin.
Love on, my heart, be hasty to forgive.
Let those frozen fingers thaw as they find
The warmth flowing within the life you live,
Then stand before the winds that chill your mind
And feel God's grace as you slowly transcend
Into the love that loves you without end.

Psalm 116:1-2

"I love the Lord, because he hath heard
my voice and my supplications. Because
he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long
as I live."
