Christ's Return

by Janet Martin

Oh, what a day when we lift our eyes
To see Him coming in the skies,
Oh what glory it will be,
The King of kings has come for me,
Forgotten, all our earthly cares,
Forever done, the pleading prayers,
But joyful song eternally,
When He returns for You and me,
Forever united, our voice lifts as one,
To praise in one chorus the Father and Son
How sweet all the tongues as united we blend,
At last in the Presence of Beginning and End,
Then, oh how glorious, as each voice swells
With all the victorious over death and hell,
All weeping is over forever more
For no tear glistens on that fair shore,
When each tribe and nation will gather as one
To bow with creation to the Father and Son,
At last we will worship in blest harmony,
Our song will be perfect, sung in victory,
Glory, glory, glory, glorify the Lamb!
Counselor, mighty King, Jehovah, and I AM,
Glory, glory, glory, throughout eternity,
Our song will keep on ringing to the One who set us free,
Glory, glory, glory, our song will never end,
Glory, glory, glory, angel voices blend,
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, with no end
