The Measurement of My Faith

If I were to measure my faith,
I would see that every foot
was achieved inch by inch
as my trust in God I put.

If I were to take a yard stick,
I would see that each notch
marked all the times over me
God faithfully has watched.

If I were to take a tape measure,
roll it out as far as it could go
I would see the length of time
for my faith in God to grow.

If I were to take a measuring wheel,
push it around night and day
I would see the path it had to take
for me to find the narrow way.

If I were to measure my faith,
I could calculate just how long
it took for God to make . . .
my trust in Him this strong!

Romans 12:3

“For I say, through the grace
given unto me, to every man
that is among you, not to think
of himself more highly than
he ought to think; but to think
soberly, according as God
hath dealt to every man
the measure of faith.”
