I wish I were that eagle,
that knows how to soar
who waits so patiently
to rise up with the Lord.
Then I would discover,
how to spread my wings
and in His power I could . . .
conquer what life brings.
I would have the wisdom,
to be able to discern . . .
how to fly over the clouds
not faint in my concern.
Then I'd have His strength,
and be fit for any flight
for I would trust the Lord
and put my faith in His light.
But, for now I'm His sparrow,
and He's teaching me to fly . . .
soon I'll mount like and eagle
and I will soar forever high.
Isaiah 40:31
King James Version
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength; they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk,
and not faint."
