My Soul Longs . . .

My soul longs ~ for Your peace,
for the comfort Your Word brings
for the reassurance and the calm
under the shadow ~ of Your wings.

My soul longs ~ for Your deliverance,
for the trust of everlasting relief
for the liberation and the release
from the heaviness of my grief.

My soul longs for ~ Your mercy,
for the grace You have for me
for the compassion and the pity
where in You Lord ~ I can be free.

My soul longs for ~ Your eternal love,
for the deliverance of my every sin
for the plan of hope and salvation
so Your Word can dwell deep within.
